As we celebrate the arrival of Spring with Nowruz, we also celebrate the treasures of our shared values. From Ankara to Astana to Baku to Bishkek to Dushanbe to Erbil to Kabul to Kazan to Kiev to Tashkent to Tbilisi and to Tehran, and even beyond to London, Paris, Rome, Vancouver… wherever the Spring breeze goes it brings the promise of brighter days.

Let us share a promise to be better this year than we were the last year. Let us promise to ourselves to be more caring and more compassionate about others. Let us commit ourselves to do what we can to better our own lives and the lives of others around us and far from us.

Let us remind ourselves that we can and should multiply our joy by sharing it with people all over the world. This is the promise of Spring. The promise of the rebirth of the earth and the promise of the renewal of the bonds of our friendship.
